Evidence of Fleas
Normally, the first signs of a flea infestation appear as flea bites on pets and or people who live within the home. Although more annoying than anything, these bites can become irritated and swell, causing discomfort and itchiness to those bitten. Fleas can also be spotted jumping from surface to surface.
Tips For Flea Prevention
- Vacuum regularly. Fleas avoid high traffic areas, so be sure to vacuum by baseboards, under furniture, under cushions, in pet beds, and where pets frequent. If you have hardwood flooring or tile, use a mild cleaner on all ground surfaces, making sure to get the entire surface area.
- Keep your pet flea- free. Invest in a flea prevention for all of your pets.
- Keeping your grass mowed and shrubs trimmed does make a difference when battling a flea infestation, this gives them less space to hide and populate.
- Make sure to not invite other carriers of fleas into your yard. Raccoons, opossums, and feral dogs and cats are a sure way to become re-infested.
Structural Pest Flea Program
Our service pro will perform a complete inspection and he will begin treatment on the interior spot treating all, carpets, baseboards and complete basement and garage floor if they are accessible.
Weather permitting; he will treat the exterior of your structure, following the contour of your landscaping not to exceed 4 feet.
Before treatment, please vacuum all floors and have small items picked up off of them and from under the beds.
Warranty
**1 pet or less (indoor pets only)= your flea treatment offers a 6-month protection program. We do require that you wait a full three weeks for complete results. This provides ample time for the flea to complete its life cycle.
**2-5 pets (or any outdoor pets) = your flea treatment offers a limited 6-month protection program. We do require that you wait a full three weeks for the complete results. This provides ample time for the flea to complete it’s life cycle. The reason being is our customers with 2 or more pets may have a higher flea infestation, leading to reoccurring problems; if necessary, expert will only charge a service call fee of $45.00=30min for a spot treatment or $75=45min per floor or no more than the initial cost.
This program will not cover cockroaches, wood- boring, flying, pharaoh ants or biting insects.
Preventative Programs
Structural Pest Management offers various types of Preventative Programs to fit ALL of your pest control needs.
Quarterly
Our quarterly program is ideal because it provides the most protection against insects and rodents.
Structural will apply liquid treatments in and around your structure 4 times a year.
There are two interior treatment in summer and winter, with the winter treatment receiving an attic inspection.
There are two exterior treatments, spring and fall with the fall receiving rodent inspection along the foundation and appropriate sealing of entry points.
Seasonal
Structural will apply liquid treatments in and around your structure 3 times a year.
There is one interior treatment in summer.

Residential Monthly
While our Quarterly Program is normally sufficient, there are some pest issues that require more visits, such as cockroaches. Our Residential Monthly service is designed to offer you year-round protection from even the most persistent of pests.
