During the summer and fall when wasp and hornet colonies reach their largest, you’ll notice increased activity outside. There are several species of wasps that are aggressive by nature and will attack if they feel threatened or if you come too close to their hive or nests. Usually if you and your family are being swarmed by bees, hornets, or wasps, there is a hive or nest close to the exterior of your structure or in a nearby tree. There can be thousands of bees, hornets, or wasps within a single swarm.

Evidence of Bees, Wasps, or Hornets
You will notice increased activity of bees, wasps, or hornets. They fly close to their nests and also create a buzzing sound. Watch for swarming, this is when there are a large number of these insects together. You may also even be able to see the actual nest within a tree or attached to your home or business.

SPRING—THROUGH JUNE 30TH
Our service pro will perform a complete inspection and treatment on the exterior of your structure and locate all nesting areas and entry points.
Due to the biology of the bees, wasps, and hornets, any reapplication work will not be performed until May 10th.
SUMMER- FALL—THROUGH DECEMBER 15TH
Our wasp completion provides protection for your whole structure. Structural Pest will perform a complete inspection on your structure, to locate all nesting areas. We will treat the exterior of your structure targeting all entry points.
Please note: in the fall, at the end of all wasp and hornet seasons, these insects become disoriented and may enter your structure for up to a few weeks. If you are not experiencing a problem now, you may not experience one.
Please note: Structural would not be responsible for any activity within the structure.
***If the nest is inside: as a courtesy, if you have a lot of bees/wasps/hornets in a room we may use an aerosol to knock down the adults in the room.
Some companies offer to cut open the wall to remove the nest, there is a lot involved with nest removal and this is not a service Structural offers.
This program will not cover cockroaches, wood- boring, flying, pharaoh ants or biting insects.
Preventative Programs
Structural Pest Management offers various types of Preventative Programs to fit ALL of your pest control needs.
Quarterly
Our quarterly program is ideal because it provides the most protection against insects and rodents.
Structural will apply liquid treatments in and around your structure 4 times a year.
There are two interior treatment in summer and winter, with the winter treatment receiving an attic inspection.
There are two exterior treatments, spring and fall with the fall receiving rodent inspection along the foundation and appropriate sealing of entry points.
Seasonal
Structural will apply liquid treatments in and around your structure 3 times a year.
There is one interior treatment in summer.
There are two exterior treatments, spring and fall with the fall receiving rodent inspection along the foundation and appropriate sealing of entry points.
Residential Monthly
While our Quarterly Program is normally sufficient, there are some pest issues that require more visits, such as cockroaches. Our Residential Monthly service is designed to offer you year-round protection from even the most persistent of pests.
